European Seminar "Networking is the process of information and youth participation"”
Aljaraque, Spain, 06 to 10 June 2012.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
The overall objective of the seminar is to enhance the generation of networks, information services and youth participation to improve the quality and efficiency of the work done by young professionals, through processes of quality improvement and innovation, to share information experiences , resources and launch joint campaigns and initiatives.
The seminar will serve as a tool for exchange of good practices and a platform for discussion among professionals in European youth services.
It is to introduce a methodology of cooperative and horizontal note from the workers themselves / as youth reporters / as and youth services of government to youth associations, other stakeholders and especially young people themselves.
AIMS OF THE SEMINAR
- To promote a transnational network of Information Services and Youth Participation to promote international cooperation among participating organizations.
- To exchange experiences and good practices related to information and participation with youth with fewer opportunities.
- To train participants in the seminar informative and dynamic tools for developing their work.
- To encourage the development of joint cooperation from the network.
- To promote a forum for bringing practitioners and youth policy makers for discussion, reflection and dialogue on youth information and local policies to disadvantaged young people.
- To promote intercultural dialogue and exchange between participants.
- To acquire a practical knowledge of the communitarian programme Youth in Action in its general context.
- To facilitate the contact between organizations from the participating countries of the Youth in Action Programme.
- To increase cooperation and to facilitate connections between the participants.
- To develop skills and abilities necessary for the successful realization of new projects.
The specific objectives are:
• To improve the technical knowledge of the different actions of the Youth in Action Programme.
• To facilitate the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the participants.
• To help the participants to identify their future partners from other countries.
• To help the participants to elaborate projects of international cooperation.
• To create an opportunity to the participants to take part in an intercultural experience.

PROFILE AND NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:
The target group of our project are youth workers of Youth Information Services, councilman of body public, people coming from the ”youthful world” –persons who directly work with young people as well as members of associations All the participants should also have at least decent knowledge of English and/or Spanish (work languages).
In this seminar will take part 12 participants from different countries of the European Union, which fulfil the following requirements:
- Information Services workers and youth participation in public services.
- Political Youth public administration.
- Workers with experience in youth with fewer opportunities.
- Responsible for youth association / youth councils / youth mediators
▪ PARTICIPANTS ARE ACTIVELY WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AS A PROFESSIONAL OR VOLUNTARY YOUTH WORKER
▪ PARTICIPANTS HAVE EXPERIENCE IN INFORMATION AND DYNAMISATION YOUTH.
▪ PARTICIPANTS SHOULD HAVE AN ACTIVE ATTITUDE!
▪ PARTICIPANTS SHOULD HAVE IDEAS FOR FUTURE PROJECT!
▪ PARTICIPANTS SHOULD HAVE OPTIONS TO SET NEW PROJECTS!
FINANCING OF THE SEMINAR:
According to youth program regulations the organizers cover 70% of the travel costs and 100% of the accommodation and activities costs.
Participants should pay 30% of travel costs.
